The beginning of the year is always important. Setting goals. Setting expectations. Getting CAI off on the right foot!
Typically, for CAI Nevada, the start of the new year comes from our chapter president, the Executive Director, or the BOD. They are instrumental in shaping the year with a new theme or emphasis for the upcoming year.
Here are some New Year messages from past presidents that were important to the growth and success of our Nevada Chapter.
In 1993, still our infancy years, President Sheri Rios started off the year with these goals
In 2001, President Kathryn Tavenner reported on the energy of the newly elected board and committee chairs.
In 2003, President Alisa Vyenielo started us off with some sage advice to start another year. Advice, by the way, that is good every day of the year forever!
In 2017, President April Parsons gifted us a theme that has stayed with our chapter ever since. April introduced her theme as putting unity back into community. The chapter magazine changed the nameplate on the cover to reflect the theme and has kept it that way. Thank you, April, for such a long-lasting contribution to our chapter and Community Interests!
